Cat's Special birthday!

We're not a group to allow a special celebration to pass by, and when we found out it was a milestone birthday for our treasurer, Cat, well, something had to be done!

Hanna set to with Debbie to organise a surpise bash in place of rehearsal one evening in November. And organise they did, with a vengeance, with a mini crazy golf set up, and numerous games (all cat themed) to participate in.

 

Not forgetting an American supper and of course, a birthday cake, baked and iced by our own star baker, Nicky!



It was a night that Cat won't forget in a hurry and neither will the rest of us, as we moved from sack races, to throwing a cat toy into a box for the furthest distance, making as many origami cats (impossible!) in the time allotted, building the highest cat structure and drawing a cat while blindfolded, to name a few! There were many more! 😺





The winning team received medals and sweeties as their prize. And runners up also received the delicious treats!



And do you know, there was NO singing! What, I hear you ask? Yes, for some reason the night went by without a note being sung. Well, that is apart from Happy Birthday (obviously) and one activity - each team had to create a song about a cat lasting only 10 seconds (and NO MORE - or you would be disqualified, and several teams were!). What a motley array of songs we created! Barely tuneful but all good fun 😹.

So TODAY is actually Cat's real birthday and hence writing this news item. Wishing you a wonderful birthday, Cat, from all your Black Sheep friends!
